Involves breaking down stereotypes and questioning what otherwise seems to be natural, normal or taken for granted (structure) Example: the creation of the paralympic and parapan am games; women forming teams and getting involved in sports and forcing sport to change. Much of our behaviour is structured, individuals always retain agency. People who act with agency are often said to offer resistance. Social class those of higher class are more likely to be involved in more sport vs. lower status. Age those of younger age are more likely to be more involved; exception with leisure time. Gender males generally more than females (constantly challenged) Race varies by sport, can interact with social class, very complicated variable.
