Document Summary

Arm movements (humerus area: muscles that can attach arm to thorax, pectoralis major larger chest muscle that runs across chest, muscle fibers come together and wrap over humerus and insert on lateral side. One job is flexion of arm, medial rotation: latissimus dorsi back muscle, kind of picks up where the trapezius leaves off but a little bit of overlap. And runs all the way down the vertebrae. Muscle fibers that go upwards, under axillary region and wrap around and insert medially on the arm. Causes medial rotation: deltoid and pectoralis major both act as flexors and extensors of the shoulder. Cant cause over extension: deltoid abduction the medially and laterally rotates arm. Rotator cuff: form a cap or a cuff overtop of the top of the humerus, tendanous sheath, holding in glenoid region. Bottom of scapula to the top and attaches on the lateral side. Involved in adduction, lateral rotation and opposite to supraspinatus: sits muscles for in order.
