Eyebrows: helps shade the eyes from the sun. Eyelids: another word (palpebrae), spread lubricating solution (tears) over the eyes. Excessive tears when you cry drain through your nasal cavity which causes the (cid:498)runny nose(cid:499) Online lecture 7: special sense - vision there are 4 rectus muscles that go from lateral, superior, medial, and inferior rectus. When muscles contract they contract along their length there are 2 oblique muscles: superior and inferior. Comprised of 3 coats (tunics): fibrous tunic (white of the eye, sclera shape, protection, attachment of muscles, continuous with the cornea, vascular tunic. Anterior ciliary body and iris the iris is the color portion of the eye. Aqueous humor that fills the anterior portion of the eye. Both have a ring of smooth muscle to allow the the opening and closing of the iris. When the circular muscle contracts, the radius of the circle decreases: retina.
