People remember exactly what i was doing when 9/11 happened. Memories are particularly vivid, certain moments in history, find themselves telling stories about it over and over again. President"s story changed when he told his recount the first and second time due to human error in our own memory. Our memories are not photographic, they"re prone to error and reconstruction based on the context with which we encoded the experience, the context with which we recall the experience. So many factors can influence the accuracy and representation of that memory. One important thing that affects memory is our emotional state. Patient hm lost his ability to form long-term memories after hippocampi lobectomy. He was born with epilepsy had severe seizures. Isolated seizures to medial temporal lobe recommended that this part of the brain be removed so he gets ride of seizures.
