Loose aerolar is like the filler portion of our body including the attachment layer btw upper layer of our skin and underlying muscle: lots of fat stored in this layer. Dense means more protein fibers and less of ground substance. But theyre very strong along their length bc theyre regularly arranged but not strong across their fiber orientation: don"t have the best blood supply; its more limited here, ex. Also have collagen fiber in it to allow for strength; elastic fibers allow for. Regularly oriented in one direction (strength is provided in one direction) Has fibro blast cells which build things whether this is collagen or elastic stretch fibers. Not in one direction; in bundles/layers instead or in any direction: variety of directions instead of just one, usually bundles at 90 deg to each other. Provides strength in a variety of diff directions instead of just one.
