Brain: grey matter on outside and white matter on inside. Spinal cord: grey matter on inside and grey matter on outside. Parts of the cerebrum: superficial grey matter (where neuronal cell bodies are located, white matter tracts (axons, deep nuclei (neurons, formed around ventricles. Each cerebral hemisphere cortex has a total surface area of 1. 3 square feet if it was all unfolded. Gyri: there will be a hill of grey matter on either side. Left and right brain are divided by a deep fissure, called the longitudinal fissure. Central sulcus: runs down the coronal surface of the brain. Almost everything located before there is motor related. Frontal lobe: sense of being and intellect. Almost everything located after here is sensory located. Superficial grey matter of the cortex is organized into columns at the cellular level. Broca"s area: able to make words yourself.
