What would you say, is wrong, if anything, with mary: depression. They would they she"s having work problems, she"s stressed - wouldn"t have people say they have. In terms of mental health, mary e. g. people won"t recognize that those are symptoms are depression. If someone were to be experiencing mental health symptoms, where should they go for treatment, to seek help: knowledge of effective self-help strategies for milder problems, exercise, social support, etc. In terms of recognition of a mental health disorder: other responses - more often older adults said things like substance-abuse and dementia. How do you think john/mary could best be helped. Younger adults more likely to put that as a treatment option than older adults. Seeking treatment, the two groups are kind of the same. List of potential options and then the person would rate if that treatment option is helpful or harmful potentially: family doctor, pharmacist, counsellor/social worker, psychiatrist, psychologist, naturopath, help from f&f.
