Normal/usual aging aging without biological or mental pathology no sickness or disease. Optimal or successful aging no pathologies in a physical or mental sense, and you are striving in old age ex; living in an age friendly environment, exceeding what is normal. Pathological aging have a pathology (physical or mental) signs and symptoms, illness and disease. Mental illness should not be a normal part of aging. A state of well-being in which every person realizes their own potential, can cope with normal stresses of life, can work productively. Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely an absence of disease. It is not static you do not just achieve mental health and keep it forever, it fluctuates. A recognized, medically diagnosable illness that results in the significant impairment of a(cid:374) i(cid:374)di(cid:448)idual"s (cid:272)og(cid:374)iti(cid:448)e, affe(cid:272)ti(cid:448)e or relatio(cid:374)al a(cid:271)ilities.
