Men and women equally have a chance of getting schizophrenia. Something we do know- people in poorer countries who get schizophrenia tend to live longer and better tha(cid:374) if they got s(cid:272)hizophre(cid:374)ia i(cid:374) a ri(cid:272)her (cid:272)ou(cid:374)try. May(cid:271)e there"s less stig(cid:373)a, less drugs, (cid:373)ore willingness to accept the disease, more family support etc. in poorer countries. These medications can help shape a perso(cid:374)"s long-term outcome.
