Person is having an episode when experiencing psychosis. It"s a (cid:272)o(cid:373)po(cid:374)e(cid:374)t of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. It"s a psychotic disorder, which involves a loss of contact with reality, making it very hard for a person to distinguish between what is real and what is not". When we call it a disease, then its a medical concern with an underlying biological problem. Psychiatrists should deal with a disease like this. The world health organization (who) thinks its a severe mental disorder characterized by profound disruptions in thinking, affecting language, perception and the sense of self. This definition calls it a disorder rather than a disease. We don"t know if it di order or die eae . Schizophrenia might not be solely perceived as a biological disease.
