Social structure lends insight into the forces that affect our lives: experiences and positions within the social structure affect our attitudes and behaviours. Example of tony and fisal: expectations that tony, given his poorer status, will have more health problems and die earlier of natural causes than fisal who has more economically substantial background. Definition of social structure: pattern of interrelated statuses and roles found in a society or other group at a particular time and constituting a relatively stable set of social relations. Organized pattern of the interrelated rights and obligations of persons and groups in a system of interaction as analyzed in terms of statuses, roles, social norms, and social institutions. The term social organization is used synonymously with social. Poverty related to poor health structure: people need the basic necessities of life: food, clothing, and shelter to lead healthy lives.
