Socioeconomic hardships african workers using trade unions and strikes to advocate for their needs. Roosevelt began pressuring allies to implement a postwar timetable for self determination: anti-imperialism cause of wwii, big proponent. Large scale top down projects failures and have disastrous effects. Africa = outside monetary control: british indebted to us. Like all movements, the promise of gender equality at national level were not necessarily always fulfilled.
