Arabian supply every 10 years; canada could supply 6 years: china and india rapidly consuming oil. It is uncertain when canada"s oil sands will peak: us oil reserves peaked in 1975, once production peaks, supplies will begin to slow. Predictions say oil will last between 42-93 years depending on the rate of usage. Coal formation and types: anthracite is the most desirable fuel because of its high heat content and low sulphur content, however supplies are limited in most areas. In remote oil-drilling areas, natural gas is flared, which means that is simply burned off: natural gas provides 25% of the global commercial energy consumption, world supplies are projected to last about 60 more years.
