Manchester in england compares to this grew from industrial revoluion) First one: ideal version (further away, higher socioeconomic status) Highest concentraion of acivity in central business district. Socioeconomic status increases as you go away from the city center. Chicago: seing was ready for major change ater the ire, famous for elevated railways, core intensity of land use is very high and then it goes down. Over ime, original group moves further away and immigrants take their spot (ongoing process)
