These things that distinguish us, how you are different from others: ethnic group: a group whose members perceive themselves as different from others because of a common ancestry and/or shared culture. Link to ancestors and to specific cultural traditions. Implied minority status: implication that this is a minority group, not always the case, they don"t have to be, can be majority. Ethnicity & ethnic groups: ethnicity (& ethnic groups) is inherently spatial, we can see the spatial manifestation of ethnicity (& ethnic groups) in many ways. Walking through specific communities/neighborhoods, analyzing data from census data. People who have identified themselves as certain ethnicity: topographic maps: cloropleth.
