Culture varies over geographic space, could be slight or large. Sub-culture- the values, beliefs, lifestyle of a minority group within society. Cultural geography- the study of cultural activities and phenomena. The hearth areas- the area from which the cultural activity emerges or is most concentered. Aspects of culture that are physically tangible. Artifacts- all tangible elements related to how people live their lives (clothes, house, food) Mentifacts- key attitudinal elements/values (language and religion) Sociofacts- norms involved in group formation unwritten rules of behaviour (manners) Cultural regions- an area with a degree of homogeneity in cultural characteristics. Places where there are specific cultural characteristics. Regionalization- varies from one person to the next. Cultural landscape- the outcome of interactions between people (societies) and their environments; the visible human imprint on the land.
