Epics are concerned with warfare and the heroic virtues of courage, strength, and loyalty. Considered to be the most demanding, comprehensive genre, also the most authoritative. The narrator directs the reader through the epic poem. The process of getting to the ending is important. Milton was physically blind he spoke his poem and friends and family.
