We see value in faustus because the other characters value him and want to help him. We think he is good and full of ambition but then we see how hard his ambition makes him fall. We have seen him devolve into a lesser figure of himself. They want to wait and pray for faustus so he isn"t taken away to hell. We can compare faustus to drunk sort of just stumbling around doing not so magnificent things-> more like prankster type things. He is absolutely completely focused on himself right now. He is writhing as if he is being stabbed. God is looking down at him with anger. The devils come in and take him away. Faustus says he would weep for god but he cannot because lucifer and. Metastophalies are holding his mouth and hands back. After 24 years he has had chances to repent, but he never followed through.
