The most significant cost in businesses are the people ( salaries etc ) Effective job design - should be involved and consulted in job design,,,you dont want useless workers that are a waste of money. Attracting employees (recruiting) - hr will help with tracking the right talent by asking the right questions and picking the right selections, Social capital - org culture; relationships: human capital - knowledge, skills of workforce, customer capital - customer relationships, brand. Everyday they offer workers free hot lunch and free healthcare including maternity and paternity leave: donate 1% of gross sales. Our role is to come up with the practices . Ethics is what you do and how you behave without people knowing. Performance pressureover challenging goals could lead to unethical behaviour. Many people will cheat a little bit if incentivized to do so.
