COLLAB 2N03 Lecture 2: CHAPTER-TWOO
Document Summary
This chapter involves looking into the learning process and seeing how learning in organizations takes place. Personality is the relatively stable set of psychological characteristics that influences the way an individual interacts with his or her environment and how he or she feels, thinks, and behaves. Personality consists of a number of dimensions and traits that are determined in a complex way by genetic predisposition and by one"s long term learning history. Personality used to be a big part in ob, and since after ww2, personality tests have been used for the selection of military personnel. This behaviour is known as the dispositional approach because it focuses on individual dispositions and personality; they possess stable traits or characteristics that influence their attitudes and behaviours. However, much research produced findings that failed to support the usefulness of personality to predict organizational behaviour and work performance.
