Last class we raised the questions/possibilities of other sorces of relationships with popular entertainment/mass culture beyond the ones that we"ve already explored (fan communities, fandoms and practices like fan fictions) As a way to diversify and expand our understanding, we speculated the position of two specific categories: anti-fans and non-fans: to describe and explain the majority of the audience. Many of us care as deeply (if not more so) about those texts [and characters, etc. ] that we dislike as we do about those that we like. jonathan grey. There"s something in popular culture that you hate as much as you like something else in the popular culture. In basketball, someone will hate lebron james, cite all this evidence and support of his distaste in. Lebron while another person will only identify his hatred for this player rather than love and affection of the sport.
