In itself, regardless of whether you speak spanish, portuguese or whatever, allows those people to make sense, of words by themselves have no meaning. Definition: collection of symbols, governed by rules and used to convey messages between individuals. We make up words to describe an activity. Computer in the 50s: big, slow, heavy, machine, completely different perspective to what a computer is today. Rules are for us to have some sense-making, some order to the words that we use to create these meaningful messages. Spit we use different words to connate meaning, spit versus saliva. What does it represent: scholarship, love, near-death experience, graduation, means different things to different people. What"s the received meaning of that word to others if a person says, pencil me to give the instead give the pencil to me violates. When we"re writing/constructing or building our imitation, how can this phrase/sentence/essay/thesis take different meaning from someone else.
