Two busts being held by man showing familial resemblance- a show of honoring ancestors from previous generations. Busts are really imagines(i. e. death masks)- the two men deemed worthy enough to be immortalized in stone due to high prestige. Iulus established as the founder of the julia roman people. Established as the founder of the roman people. Artifact: pious aeneas performing a sacrifice on the ara pacis augustae. Second important foundation myth that follows children of iulus. Force niece (numitor"s daughter) rhea silvia to become a vestal virgin. Became pregnant by mars & gave birth to twins: romulus & remus.
