Most gods have a kernel of truth in them, but over time, they become more powerful: ex. Zeus was a king who was eventually depicted as a god: monster with multiple dog heads, heads pop out of rocks as sailors pass by, was originally a prostitute who would devour sailors. Apollo: the sun god , just really means the sun, stoics.
