Looking at the variaion in body size among mammals, looking at the variance in growth within species, then look at the amount of variaion in growth in speciaion events. Most changes in growth 65-80% is associated with speciaion events. Large part of speciaion processes is associated with allometric consolidaion of body sizes. Processes result in the deterioraion of the phenotype over ime. Study of processes of aging are important look at allometric relaionships across species and within species and comparing them. Hundreds of theories no one understands it. Looking at maximum lifespan (interspecies relaionhip), as body mass goes up, lifespan increases. Red lines vs. blue lines (birds vs mammals) birds have more energy consumpion, higher metabolic rates (consume more energy in their lifeime) Squirrels have a 3d map of the trees in their heads. Changing the posiions of the perches freaks the birds out messes with their mental map.
