Bacteria is able to withstand very high temperatures: ex. Microbiology- the study of microorganisms, and collectively, we call all microorganisms microbes. Microbes are small life forms and cant be seen with the naked eye. Live in diverse groups in nature maing a microbial community and ecosystem (never alone: exceptions: algae, a zip (colony of bacteria), mould. Slime mould typically exists as a unicellular organism when food is available. But when nutrient levels are low, they aggregate and form a complex structure and a specific cell is in charge of one thing for the entire colony". Cell- simiplest structure capable of carrying out all the processes of life. Controlled set of chemical reactions that extract energy and nutrients from the environment, and transform them into new biological materials. Allowing the possibility of evolution through natural selection over the course of multiple generations. Ex: becoming resistant to the antibiotic: response/adaptation to the external environment.
