Abundance of sticky molecule called hyaluronic acid: genetic drift: any change in allele frequencies in a population due to blind luck, random sampling error, drift is always occurring, in every population, and in every generation, but is stronger in smaller populations, as a result, allele frequencies (p and q) will drift up and down randomly over time, changes in allele frequency are random with respect to fitness, not adaptive changes, not related to phenotype. In small populations, genetic drift is more obvious than in larger ones: eventually can lead to random loss (0. 00=0%) or random fixation (1. 0=100%, in either case, genetic variation in the population declines, random sampling error, if you draw 10 marbles out of a bag with 100 marbles and you get 6:4 colored marbles, it is not even, so this is random sampling, restock the gene pool, with the new 6:4 ratio.
