Teaching people the skills to make permanent dwellings, etc. To turn from the misery of hunter-gatherers in crappy teepees to something more. Thus the huron peoples found it easier to connect with europeans, because they were already farmers/agricultural societies rather than hunters. Text on following the life of christ, and jesuit life.
