Contact gunshot: held up against the person, huge amount of gas that goes out before the bullet actually exits. Great deal of heat and pressure generated at the tip. This causes evidence on the soft tissue called stippling : superficial burning on skin near the entrance wound. Gas can effect the bone itself by entering into the inner section of the bone: tight contact: very tight pressure between the gun and body surface.
