Oppressive structures of inequality and power that arise when certain groups are afforded greater legitimacy or value than others. By promoting the histories of one particular group (i. e. white people), and excluding, even without the intent, other groups such as first nations, black people embedded. White privilege a form of embedded racism wherein white people are granted greater power, prestige, and/or access to resources. White privilege operates in many invisible ways through social structure where white people have privileges where it"s difficult for others to obtain. She says whiteness is normative, whiteness is the norm, the general expectation. Whiteness is both normative and unmarked: unmarked white people never been taught to racialize their bodies. Affords white people with unearned advantages in society.
