Tasks usually performed by men: huning animals, fishing as a primary responsibility, herding large animals, clearing ields for planing, conducing warfare, conducing long-distance trade. Variable gender assignment or cooperaive tasks: huning small animals, fishing as a secondary resource, herding small animals, planing/harvesing crops, making crats, potery, basketry, tools, building houses, conducing small trade. Women"s roles afected by reproducive role (childbirth, nursing infant care) Roles can change as economic, poliical, and social factors change. It helps to idenify who should be more involved in certain aciviies. Peoples whose subsistence patern is huning and gathering. Food sources include: game huning, fishing, collecing.
