11 views3 pages

Document Summary

The very young and the old have the highest death rates. The lowest death rates regardless of the country are going to be late childhood/early teen years. After the teen years, the death rates start to increase. Crime rates vary by age and sex. Women commit crime, but men commit more crime than women though. Rates of demographic events (mortality, fertility, migration, etc. ) vary by age and sex. Age distribution changes along with changing birth and death rates. If you have an age distribution it determines some of these rates (like cdr) but in itself it is determined by birth and death rates. Crude death rate (cdr) deaths per 1000 people. Life expectancy (e0) - years/average age at expected death. Sweden is healthier because life expectancy is longer and it doesn"t say the reasons for death in the crude death rate. Cdr in mexico could be because it has a young population.
