We need to stay connected or all falls apart. People don"t like having conversations because we can"t control what we say. With technology, we can edit, delete and touch up. We have an increased reliance on technology which affects our interactions with others. We"re reluctant from being face to face with other. When we"re alone, we seek connectedness and find that in technology. For children, when they"re given a device, it puts their imagination at risk. We don"t have time alone with our thoughts. Absence of self-reflection, unable to really develop our self identity identity. Because we"re shying away from human connection, we do not seek contact with other people which leads us to expect less from other people, believing that our needs won"t be met from other people.
