A process of increasing interconnectedness of people, products, ideas, and places. The transplanetary process or set of processes involving increasing liquidity and growing multidirectional flows on people, objects, places and information as well as the structures they encounter and create that are barriers to, or expedite, those flows. The cause of inequality naturally effects what the remedy will be. Global inequality is a consequence of time lags in the process of modernization. The belief in a evolutionary process that moved human kind from agricultural to pre modern societies into the modern era brought about by the reality of wide scale rational planning. Cause: power imbalances between geographic units (core and periphery countries) Periphery don"t want to change because they benefit from extracting resources from the core. Movement of people: personal choice as a result of personal trouble. Personal choice that is structured in various ways. People move to increase their life chances because they are higher in other countries.
