Surveys found that of all the careers, the one most associated with high levels of anxiety, depression, suicide, divorce, substance abuse, etc. is the law profession. Lawyers tend to rate their profession as something that isn"t providing a lot of satisfaction. People that are pursuing a law career are suffering. 70% of students in the law program seek out mental health services. Becoming a lawyer is a high-prestige profession. There may be too many lawyers and too many law schools but not enough jobs. A lot law school professors have been advocating for reforming the law school structure.
