Most ppl say they won"t succeed, and that they will probably fail. It"s normative to fail at our goals, but we only notice it at our resolution because we keep track of it. Ppl make on average 7 times the same resolution before succeeding. Watch only 1hr of tv per day. Exercise 5 days a week after 4 tries. Drink 8 glasses of water per day after 3 tries. Do a triathlon after 2 tries. Almost of ppl fail within a week. Predictors: desire to change, readiness , self-efficacy. If you think about it 1 month before, more chance to succeed. Some say that doing something for 30 days will make it an habit. The capacity to alter or over-ride one"s typical way of responding.
