There is a lot of politics involved in psychology. People will suppress and twist evidence to make their findings work with their theory, to get more and more money in order to conduct studies on a theory that isn"t useful in the end. Kind of the same thing as asking if tall people are born or created. There is always a combination of genetic and environmental events. Psychology is different from other research because it is a (cid:498)soft science(cid:499) Other types of science (chemistry and math) are (cid:498)hard sciences(cid:499) Behavior is much more difficult to define and measure. Let"s imagine that sadness is a real physical thing that exists. You might think that sadness is one thing and someone else might think it is another thing.
