Is it really a universal system? (other languages, cultures, and species?) This is a show where there are hugs and learning for all of the characters. Over the course of the show, it is obvious that pam and jim are well-suited to be in a relationship. Quiet (speaks slowly), calm (stable, steady, not neurotic), kind, courteous, bashful, conforming, steady. You could use most of the same descriptors for jim. The big 5 traits aren"t normally the way we choose our romantic partners, there are other aspects of personality which dictate these types of choices. He is definitely high in agreeableness but he is certainly more high in extraversion than pam is. Openness to experience receptive to new ideas, approaches and experiences. Agreeableness having concern for others, having warm and trusting sentiments. Conscientiousness organised, persistent, motivated, goal-directed behaviour. Agreeableness incorporates expressive qualities of love and empathy, friendliness, cooperation and care.
