In the expt, ppl did a mundane task and at the end were asked to lie to the next participant and say that it was interesting. You are led to advocate an opinion different from your own. You come to shift your attitude in the direction of your behaviour. People are motivated to maintain internal consistency (among beliefs, ideas, values and behaviours)
