Trace=experience that you have that changes you in some way (e. g. synaptic changes) Mystic writing pad model (freud): writing over and over and erasing every time but a trace remains and eventually averages out and forms memory. Reappearance hypothesis: you can have a memory that reappears unchangingly over and over. Flashbulb memories: vivid memory of specific affecting memory. Now print theory: you have memory of event that you print (like reappearance hypothesis) ^^wrong people feel confident in their memories but they"re not necessarily more accurate than any other memory. Misinformation effect: receive info about event post event then it"s integrated into your memory of the event. Source monitoring error: when you don"t remember where you got info (e. g. remembering something that might have been a dream) Retroactive interference: when new memory interrupts old memory. Proactive interference: old memory interferes with new memory (e. g. your old phone number resurfaces instead of your new one)
