Current debate regarding weather class voting is declining in europe and us. The low level of class voting is considered a puzzle. Because there is an assumed relationship btwn class and vote choice. Rational choice perspective would suggest voters vote for those who will work towards their best interest. Def of politics - "politics is who gets what" Its all about dividing up the economic pie. Size is fixed, ppl competing over who is getting a bigger slice. This would cause us to assume, if voters are rational, voters would vote to the party that is closest to them in terms of issues. The more affluent one is, the more likely they should be to vote for a party on the right.
