The hormone is transported by the blood to a distant target site. It involves the production and release of a hormone from a deciated gland. These hormones travel in the blood until they reach the target organs, which are often dedicated endocrine hormones. When they bind this hormone, they release their own hormones which reach other organs. Cell released hormonal substance, but the receptors for this substance is on the cell.
