Common wart: it"s been around throughout all of human history, best way to fix it is by using concentrated amount of salicylic acid to get rid of the virus within the wort. Back in the past, people in great britain used to treat these using dandelions/various activities (e. g. like counting the warts and putting stones in a bag) But in reality, 80% of them will disappear within 2 years. Principles in drug evaluation: double bind, randomization, need to have a random distribution of samples. Placebo: it is a sugar pill, 1/3 of people react to them because of the psychological effect. It could wear off quickly, or long lasting but it depends on psychology (in no way will people be as affected as the active drug) I will please: time course varies with disorders, relationship to caregivers, ritual of taking the medicine, strength/belief, nocebo: blame negative effects (headache, etc. ) on the placebo.
