The world population is impacting the environment in negative ways; therefore, we need methods to limit the increase in the population (i. e. : if only people would have less children, our world would be so much better) Western countries have high stats corresponding to contraception use in comparison to africa. Effective family planning methods: we have both reversible and irreversible. Irreversible (permanent sterilization): vasectomy, hysteroscopic: without these methods of contraception, there would be a skyrocket increase in pregnancy rates. Out of the reversible methods, iud > pill > condom in terms of effectiveness: there"s on vasectomy and condoms for males (the two extremes) Oral contraception is large in europe, latin america, but super low in asia (due to geographical and cultural choices: they wanted people to use condoms to lower the risk of hiv. Different choices in different cultures has an impact on female contraception prevalence.
