Most common cancers: the most common cancers are breast and prostate, and there are good survival rates. Many people will survive these 2 types of cancers. In regions of the world where there is a high or low incidence of one, there is also high or low incidence of the other. The environmental factors have the same impact: thankfully, while the incidence is high, the death rate is low. This varies among the different countries, there are some countries where the incidence rate is much closer to the death rate. There are a variety of reasons for this, for example, the incidence might be lower because people don"t live as long. Dr. e. zorychta: there is an age variation in their incidence and in their mortality they are quite similar. Most cancers can be considered to be cured after 5 years of no signs of recurrence or metastasis.
