This course introduces theoretical perspectives of the family and health behaviours. Characteristics of family health behaviours, family environments that promote health, influences on family health practices and family coping during stress /illness are explored. Nursing strategies in promoting family and health behaviours are identified. Students will be introduced to family assessment tools and evidence- based nursing research.
