Art of combining sounds into a structural form, usually according to the conventional pattern and for an aesthetic (artistic) purpose. Palestrina chant: this is called canonic material, where different voices come in at different times and point. Emotional descriptors would be peaceful, wonder, supplication(prayerfulness) as the song is basically a prayer during mass. Carlo geswaldo: he found his wife in bed with another. We find an element of darkness in his work.
