Culture- is a vehicle through which managers consciously attempt to influence the behavior, thoughts, and feelings of employees: means of creating social order in organization: Conveys a sense of identity for organization members. Facilitates commitment to so(cid:373)ethi(cid:374)g larger tha(cid:374) o(cid:374)e(cid:859)s i(cid:374)di(cid:448)idual self-interest. Enhances social system stability by defining boundary: social glue that helps hold an org together by providing appropriate standards for what employees should say or do. It is an effective tool of social control b/c employees self-govern in accordance with managerial expectations: employees internalize what is considered:
