Serbs, croats, slovenes all fight w serbian army--had enough south slav. Hope for reform in ah, tho ff was noncommittal. In touch w army, those who wanted preventative war w serbia. Against advice, visits sarajevo on vidovdan (anniversary of battle of kosovo) Debate over how to react against serbia. Serbia was in domestic crisis @ the time. Ah decided they would go to war, sent unrealistic demands, serbia tried to comply but was unable. Serbia actually able to hold its own against ah. Serbian govt eventually fails to greek island of corfu. Ideas of south slav statehood also being thought abt @ this time.
