Involvement of youth movements: many performed to generate movement for protests and war against vietnam. Flood of leakages from military to public: unhappy undermining military eforts, pentagon paper release seen as a tense situaion. Pentagon paper: study commissioned by mcnamara to igure out what was going badly in vietnam: analyze and shape us policy.
